Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010 - A Green Tourism Celebration

The Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010, an annual event featuring performing arts, culture, sports, music, and exhibition from Bali and other regions of Indonesia to be held in Nusa Dua, Bali from October 15th to October 19th 2010, proudly announce by the Bali Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC). The "Green Tourism", as this year’s theme, is aimed to raise awareness of the important role environtmental conservation plays in promoting sustainable tourism in Bali.
The Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010 will include a beach cleanup program for school children organized by the Green Camp; activities demonstrating the importance of plastic-waste management and coral reef protection through Save Nusa Dua Coral Reef Programs; greening initiatives such as One Man One Tree, and activities promoting the development of eco-tourism.
The Bali International Sportts Week, which includes various Asian and International sports such as surfing, bowling, woodball, beach volleyball, billiards, and Bali Cricket six’s, tennis Nusa Dua open, blanchess chess, Nusa Dua Bali international golf tournament and Bali international marathon will round out the sporting week at Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010.
The Bali Culinary Challenge 2010 will also be include in Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010, where participants from the Indonesian Chef Association will produce the finest and tastiest bebek betutu and other examples of the distinctive Balinese traditional cuisine. Visitors will also be able to witness how a fine chef prepares the Balinese foods.
Other events in Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010 will include the Hotel’s Day competitions, such as penjor, fruit and vegetable carving, photography and fun games. Music by Belawan Batuan Fushion Music Ethnic, Tri Utami featuring Dewa Budjaba, Jazz by Farah Di, Sahaja Music Ethnic and Jazz Gamelan Fushion will also be include in Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010.
A Kebo Iwa Dance Spectacular and the Nyale ceremony from neighbouring Lombok will be include in art and culture performances of Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010. International dance performances from India will bring a cosmopolitan flavour as will the always intriguing performance of the Belly Dance and parade from participants of modification wedding make up competition. the Static exhibitions in Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010 will include examples of how handicrafts producers can cooperate with hotels and other organizations to promote tourism. The location of Nusa Dua Fiesta 2010 itself will feature the water blow, a natural phenomenon produced by the 15 metres waves striking a nearby reef.
